Animals that end up at our shelter may have been abused or neglected and include not only dogs and cats, but also farm animals. Oftentimes, this is the result of careless breeding or equally careless pet ownership. Some of these animals are hungry, sick, injured, or infested with fleas and ticks. Many are lonely and frightened. They are innocent victims with no voice but those who speak for them.
When their physical ailments are treated and they are placed in a good and loving home, the difference is astonishing. Check out some before and after pictures of animals who have been through our shelter:
Many animals in a rescue shelter are frightened, nervous, and unsure of their circumstances. The way they act at the shelter is often different than how they act in a loving and secure home. We think that shelter pets make great pets, and with a little love, time, and patience you will find yourself with a friend for life!
